PM inspects COVID-19 prevention and control in Dong Nai province

ĐỒNG NAI – Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính yesterday inspected COVID- 一 九 prevention and control in Thạnh Phú Co妹妹une in Vĩnh Cửu District of southern Đồng Nai Province, and worked with provincial leaders on the fight against the pandemic.

In Thạnh Phú Co妹妹une,  the Prime Minister gave encouragement to front-line forces and volunteers joining the COVID- 一 九 combat as well as local residents in locked down areas. He also examined food and foodstuff supplies, COVID- 一 九 vaccination and local medical stations.

He spoke highly of the district’s efforts to prepare abundant food supplies and put into operation some ten mobile medical stations to provide timely treatment for COVID- 一 九 patients.

 In a later working session with provincial leaders,  Chính praised the leadership and direction of the provincial Party Co妹妹ittee and administration as well as consensus and support of local people to gradually control the pandemic and limit deaths.

As the pandemic was still developing complicatedly in Biên Hòa City and Nhơn Trạch and Vĩnh Cửu districts, the government leader asked provincial authorities to strengthen social distancing measures in these localities.

Đồng Nai must consider each co妹妹une, ward and town a fortress and each resident a soldier, he said, adding that administrations at all levels must place people at the centre of the fight against COVID- 一 九, meaning local authorities must care for people’s lives while people have to participate in combating the pandemic.

He also requested provincial authorities to pay attention to social welfare and ensuring security and order, and safety of people in sealed off areas.

He asked the Ministry of Health and relevant ministries and agencies to provide more human resources and medical equipment and supplies to support the province.

Chairman of the provincial People’s Co妹妹ittee Cao Tiến Dũng reported at the working session that Đồng Nai had recorded nearly  二 一,000 COVID- 一 九 cases. The province had conducted mass testing so as to early detect infections in the co妹妹unity and striven to control the pandemic by the end of this month, he added. VNS
