The information below represents sightings that we believe refer to Benjamin (the Immigrant) and his line and other events that shaped their lives. The first column, "Gen", refers to the generation. Benjamin (the Immigrant) is Gen # 1, his sons are Gen # 2, etc. Because many names were repeated generation after generation, some of the Gen #s have had to be an educated guess. If you believe any to be incorrect, email me.

George Rogers Clark and John Gabrial Jones traveling from Harroldstown, KY to Williamsburg find the station in Powell's valley burned out and deserted. At Martin's Fort, eight miles away, they found the fort had been abandoned for some time. |

The General Assembly of North Carolina took over Washington District (VA), forming it into Washington Co NC. It included all of current TN. This ended the existence of the Wataugan Association. Also threw a large number of settlers who believed themselves to be in VA into NC. |

Family of David Crockett (Davy's grandfather) attacked by Dragging Canoe's warriors. David, his wife, and several young children were killed. James who was deaf and dumb was taken and kept for 18 years. His brother, John, (Davy's father) discovered him and paid a ransom for his release. |
