To all Rodgers/Rogers cousins: I am an educator who taught for 27 yrs. I presently work for the Ky Department of Education as state science consultant. I commute to Frankfort (3 hrs. round trip) each day.
I am enjoying the communication when I get a moment to open the e-mail. Someday I will get back to genealogy however at present I am totally without any spare moments.
I have researched many years learning a lot about my heritage and enjoying the good and the not so good stories that have come to light. I have not spent a great deal of time on the Rodgers line and knew someday I would direct my efforts there. It looks as if the work will be done for me if I ever get the facts on Jemima. Is she the daughter of William as her marriage certificate states or is she of the family of Prudence and Josiah Rodgers where she is listed on the census? I have a large picture of Jemima in my possession and it has from my grandmother (who lived to be 97 and knew all her family ties) Mima Jane Smith Benningfield's memory the name Jemima Ager Rodgers Smith. I have been expecting to find the name Yeager or some similar sounding name.
