Sorry my note was confusing. I am a descendant of Benjamin Rogers Sr. (the immigrant) thru his son William Rogers Sr., born in Culpepper Co. VA. and William's son James born 1776.

Dorene (Dowell) Miller, dau of Robert Linzie Dowell and Eunice Rogers

Eunice Rogers is dau. of Elzy Clarence Rogers and Maude Alice Moss

Elzy Clarence Rogers is son of Joseph Henry Rogers and Durinda Ermine (Rogers)

Joseph Henry Rogers is son of Elzy Creel Rogers and Elizabeth Kemp

Elzy Creel Rogers is son of James Rogers and Thrasey or Thursey----------

James Rogers is son of William Rogers Sr and Letty---------------

William Rogers Sr is son of Benjamin Rogers Sr. (the immigrant) and ------------

Juanita 's line is the same as above except, she is the daughter of Dolphus Henry Dowell (a brother to Robert Linzie) and Helen Rogers ( a sister to Eunice Rogers). After our parents, all other information is the same for both of us.

Here are the children as we have them for James Rogers and Thursey:

Melvina Rogers, B. ca 1800 in Wythe Co. VA., D. December 31, 1881, married Robert W. Kemp February 18, 1828 in Adair Co. KY.

John Rogers Jr., B. ca 1806 in ----------, was dead by 1871, married Mildred A. Keen, B-------, was dead by 1853, she was daughter of John Keen Sr. and Elizabeth Graves Hall. John was called Jr. to distinguish him from his uncle John B. Rogers.

Calvin M. Rogers, B. ca 1809 in ---------, D. October 1878 in Adair Co. KY., married Sarah Luticou "Letty" Keltner September 8, 1831 in Adair Co. KY. The middle name we are not sure of the spelling.

Elizabeth Rogers, B. ca 1815, was still living in 1850 census and living with her brother Elzy Creel Rogers, she never married.

Martha Jane "Patsy" Rogers, B. ca 1822 in ------------, she never married, was still living in 1880 Adair Co. KY. census, she was listed in the household of her nephew, George Thompson Rogers.

Elzy Creel Rogers, B. 1825 Adair Co. KY., married Elizabeth "Peachy" Kemp August 7, 1845 in Adair Co. KY. He died January 27, 1887 in Adair Co. KY.

Sampson Green Rogers, B. January 1826 in Adair Co. KY., married Elizabeth Wright "Letty" Keltner (a sister to his brother Calvin's wife) on November 26, 1846 in Adair Co. KY., D. February 15, 1911.

James Washington "Wash" Rogers, B------,D.--------, married Sara E. Gilpin July 25, 1854, have not found marriage recorded, but it could have been Adair or Green Co. KY.

Some other items of interest:

Settlement of James Rogers estate lists 9 heirs, no names. We have only found 8.

Living with Calvin M. Rogers in 1840 Adair Co. Ky. census was a male between age of 60-70, was this James?

Page 201 Order Minute Book- Adair Co. Ky. January 5, 1857 refers to James Rogers estate as James B. Rogers estate. This is the first time we have found any name other than James Rogers, could this stand for Benjamin?
