Sources and Additional Information:

Robert A. Rogers was a career U.S. Air Force non-commissioned officer who was very well respected in his field of aircraft maintenance. He served in the Pacific in WWII. He was also a veteran of the Korean War and the War in Viet Nam. His many military awards are very impressive. He had a very successful career and retired at the highest enlisted grade, Chief Master Sergeant (E-9) in 1981.

His maintenance skills were no doubt inherited from his father who was a pioneer automobile mechanic. Another thing he inherited was his love of hunting and fishing which he loved above all. He was most happy when he could spend his free time with a rod and reel or a hunting rifle in his hands. He put his hunting and fishing skills to good use and always had fresh meat or fish ready for cooking which he was also very good at.

It is not known for sure how many times he was married, but he had at least three wives. Only two are documented. He took good care of his two sons and tried to teach them how to hunt and fish. I hope my younger brother Terry is better at it than I am.

He died just a little over three weeks after his first wife although they had been divorced for nearly 40 years.

Notes for LILLIAN LORENE TUCKNESS:

A loving mother who put her children's future above everything. She made many sacrifices for which we must be thankful. She had a place in her heart for all, was very good hearted, and shared all that she had with her friends.

As a young woman she was very beautiful and was very well thought of by all of her friends and family. She died much too young.
