Jerry;

I will try to fill you in on my family starting with John (M. or W. ) the family listing that I found in the family papers list him as John Marshall married to Sarah Tabitha Carr. I still have some sorting to do and may find additional information from my first cousins. The only two children listed were James Marshall and Edwin Wilburn Rogers. I think that there are only two listed because of the Kansas connection.

My great Grandfather was James. The Best information that I have on him is the family listing and a copy of his will. He was married twice. My Great grandmother was Eliza McAlexander.

The will list his children as;

Jessie D. Rogers My grandfather
Laura Rogers
Sarah Rogers
John M. Rogers
Mary Eliza Rogers
Margret Rogers
May Rogers
Flara Rogers

I do not have a date of death but believe that he lived in West Plains Mo. at the time of death. The will bequeaths some property there.

My Grand father Jesse was born 2/1/1876 and died 8/23/1921 in Missouri, but lived in Lyon County Kansas at the time that may father was born. I do not know what prompted the moves to Kansas and back to Missouri.

The Children of Jessie were:

Warren Clay Rogers b Nov. 12.1902 Lyon County Kansas d. Aug 4, 1984 Lyon County Kansas. I am an only child b 2/17/35

James Wallace Rogers b 1/12/04 Lyon County Kansas d. 1/14/71 Lyon County Kansas. Children:

Patrica. b. 4/1/27 probably in West Plains Mo. d. 1999 Her mother died in West Plains

Helen b 3/20/43

Ann b before Helen

Galdys May b. 6/17/06

Margret b. 6/24/12

I do not know if my aunts were born in Missouri or Kansas both died in California. Gladys had two children John and Jane. I think that the family until my father were farmers. The newspaper clipping from my grandfather's death list him as a farmer and rural mail carrier.

If I find out how to send the family history print out I will send it to you. I do plan to do some of my own research on some of the dates and times. I am still trying to find all of the starting points so I can be efficient. Phil Rogers.
