I, Henderson Rogers of the County of Claiborne, State of Tennessee do make this my last will and testament as follows:

First after my funeral expenses, I want all of my just debts paid, out of any of my effects that may be left on hands (sic), and then the balance of my estate to be divided equally among my heirs now living.

I will and bequeath my land to my son (sic) D.C. & S.H. Rogers to be equally divided between them and they are to pay to the other heirs the sum of Two Thousand dollars with their proportional part to be deducted from said Two Thousand dollars and we D.C. and S.H. Rogers bind ourselves to support our father and mother during their natural lives, and said D.C. & S.H. Rogers shall have one or more years to pay the other heirs after the death of myself and wife. If I should die first, my wife shall have all of the household and kitchen furniture during her natural life and any personal property that I have on hand. Also Lewis M. Rogers shall have during his natural life on said land and after his death if any money should be due him it shall go out of the proceeds of the land. Or in other words, I mean what I am charged with as guardian, if not consumed by him during his life, the remainder shall go out of the proceeds of my land, and deducted from the Two Thousand willed my heirs. If my estate has to pay Rachel Cain for the note she holds against J R McMahan the same shall be deducted from my daughter Anna's part.
