Sources and Additional Information:
In 1880 he was still living in Frederick Co, MD, but by 1900 he and his wife had moved to Portage Co, Ohio to join some of his children already living there. His son, Harry Weldon Nicodemus who was living in Dallas Co, Missouri visited his relatives in Ohio more than once after the boys were old enough to take care of the farm.
Buried near Wooster, OH where John Hamilton and his wife, Martha, were living with Westwood in 1910.
Resided in Roherville, MD in 1899 when he signed an affidavit for Ezra Hess Nicodemus who had filed a claim for a Civil War pension. In 1901, John Hamilton signed another affidavit for Ezra. At this time he was living at 326 E. Franklin Street, Hagerstown, MD.
