In the book, The Hughes Family and Connections by W.J.L. Hughes,1911 Owensboro, KY., Page 125, The family of Samuel Gass names sons John and also Jonathon was the 11th child. Page 126 states Jonathan Gass married Mary Crownover in Franklin CO. TN. and is said to have moved to Alabama, and nothing more is known of him.

Chris,

I have Rose family in Franklin County, TN - there must be some connection. My greatgrandmonther was Margaret Rose (b. abt 1856) who married George Lynch (b. abt 1856). We think Margaret was the daughter of Stephen Rose, Sr. (b. abt 1807) and Sarah Pearson. George Lynch's parents were David Lynch, Jr. (b. 1826) and Elizabeth Rose (b. 1825/1826), daughter of Thomas Jefferson Rose.
