Hi Cary,
I saw your posting on the GenForum, Jan 5. I'm hoping we may have a connection. I have a William Eddings, born about 1810, who migrated from NC to Robertson Co TN before 1840. I am speculating that he might be a son of the Joseph Eddings in the 1800 census for Caswell, NC. William was married to Susan (possibly Samuels). Children were James, Conny, Martha, Abraham (my gg grandfather), Alicia? or Annis?, Nancy, Pleasant, Sarah, William, Rebecca, and Jesse. They moved on to Williamson Co, IL by 1860. Abraham married Nancy Edgin. Their daughter Annie married Anderson Ray in Mississippi Co, AR in 1881.

Hello Jerry, We haven't met before this email. Your email to William Yates was forwarded to me. What Bill had was from me as he is not a descendant of that line. Bill and I are related thru another line and have shared our family history.
For the EDDINGS line, I haven't actively worked on it for years. In the 1970s I did tons of work searching census records, other family members' info, county records, etc etc etc. My line: GeorgiaLee BANKS dau of Edith MENDEL dau of Dora JENNINGS dau of Margaret Jane EDDINGS, daughter Lucinda WILLIAMS and Josephus George EDDINGS. Josephus and his brother Bailey Eddings lived in Douglas County - perhaps a short time in Taney County - at least some of their relatives did. some moved into Arkansas. Here are the differences of my records to that which you emailed and I received this 28 September 2000.
I have not found anywhere that Susannah was ever married to any other than Pleasant EDDINGS. I have his name Pleasant Matthew EDDINGS. Pleasant Matthew EDDINGS and wife Susannah ROGERS (marriage records 1833-1873 of Greene County, MO) married on 15 Feb 1848

10. Maude EDDINGS b. Nov 1869, Greene Co, MO marr: Charles A. MILLER on 20 Feb 1893 in Greene Co., MO>
Yes, I would say the 1850 Census Records had ages off 10 years for John & R.
Thanks, GeorgiaLee of Lynnwood, WA and born in Douglas Co., Missouri.
