Jerry, I see you already have the info re Pleasant's ancestors back to William Eddins I, so I will comment on other parts of your family info. My notes might not be correct, but Ill give them so you can compare.

I show Pleasant's middle name as Matthew. Also I show Harriat Jane was born 1829, not 1818. I show William R., born 11/3/1824 (brother of Pleasant) was William Ruby, not Riley. He later went back to Robertson Co., Tenn. where he died in 1904. Your comments about Susannah Rogers marrying Pleasant (I show this too) and apparently they were married until his death in 1873. I don't see where she married a John Riley Eddings, unless he was at least 20 years younger than her. If she married a John Riley Eddings her name would've been Susannah Eddings (not Rogers) when she married him.

John Eddings (born 1798) and wife Rebecca Mason had the following sons: Bailey, b.9/4/1823; William Ruby, b. 11/3/1824; Pleasant Mattew, b. 1827; George Joseph, b.10/15/1837; and James Madison, b.1843 or 1845. John also had 5 daughters.

Notice that I did not list a Riley or John Riley Eddings. Perhaps there was one. If so, do you know when he was born?

John (Jonathon, b. 1798) father was Joseph and his mother was Elizabeth Ann Kirk. She died in Caswell Co., N.C. in1804. Some places she is called Elizabeth, other places - Ann.

Regarding your list of Pleasant's kids, I show William Riley was one. You show William was one and Riley was another . Do you think this should have been just one son or was there actually two?

Jerry, their daughters were: Harriet Jane, b. 1829; Elizabeth, b. 1832; Mary Ann, b. 1834; Serilda F., b. 1842; and Nancy M.. ca 1851. Pleasant died in 1873 and on the !880 census Susannah was listed with several of their kids. At that time she had not remarried. Bob
