Manerva Jane Rogers Sources and Additional Information:

Manerva (Manervy) Jane Rogers born 27 May 1828 in Marion County, Tennessee and died 30 Jun 1911 in Webster Co, MO.

Like her older sister, she married her step-brother David Griffith Cozby b. 7 Apr 1820 and d. 29 Dec 1891. According to the 1860 census he was born in TN, but the 1870 census indicated that he was born in AL. Manerva and David were married 01 May 1844 probably in Marion County, Tennessee. David was the brother of William D. Cozby above and the stepbrother of Manerva. David probably served in the Civil War, but the widow's claim of Manerva appears to have been disapproved (#557938). Manerva and David had 18 children. Both are buried at the Watts Cem. near Rogersville, Webster Co, MO near their parents (Jesse and Mary).

Her stone shows the name spelled "Manervy".
